An industrial shed is close to the ideal solar roof: large, uninterrupted, structurally designed for load, and usually unshaded. The load profile helps too. A single-shift factory draws its heaviest current through exactly the hours a rooftop array generates, so a large proportion of what you generate is consumed on site rather than exported. These are engineered jobs rather than catalogue ones. Can my shed roof take the weight?
Usually yes — a modern mounting system adds a modest distributed load. But it is checked at the survey rather than assumed, and we will tell you if the sheeting or the purlins need attention first.
Can we do it in phases?
Yes. A large roof can be built out in stages, with the inverter and the structure planned for the final size so the later phases just add panels.
What about three-phase and sanctioned load?
Both are part of the design. We work with your existing connection and handle the DISCOM side of the approval.
