About us
A Nagpur solar company, not a call centre
Surya Energy is a multi solar company based at Venkatesh Nagar, Nandanvan, Nagpur. We supply and install solar panels and complete energy systems for homes, businesses and industry across the city and the wider Vidarbha region. We do the whole job ourselves — the site survey, the system design, the mounting structure, the wiring and inverter, the DISCOM paperwork and the net meter. One team, from the first visit to the day it starts exporting. That also means there is somebody to call afterwards. The people who installed your system are the people who answer the phone when you have a question about it.
Surveyed before quoted
We look at your roof and your bill first. A quote without a survey is a guess.
Subsidy done properly
Registered on the national portal, inspected, and followed until the money lands.
Local, and staying local
Based in Nandanvan. Service calls are a drive across town, not a ticket in a queue.

How it works
From your electricity bill to your own power station
Six steps. We do five of them.
Send us a bill
Your last electricity bill tells us your monthly units, which is what decides the size of the system.
Free site survey
We measure the usable roof, check shadows through the day and look at your existing wiring.
Design and quote
You get a system size, the expected generation, and a written quote with the subsidy shown separately.
Subsidy application
We register the application on the national portal and submit the paperwork as a registered vendor.
Installation
Structure, panels, wiring, earthing and inverter. Most homes are done within a few days of material arriving.
Net meter and handover
DISCOM inspection, net meter installed, system commissioned — and the subsidy follows to your account.
Solar at work
What a finished system looks like
Rooftop arrays, inverters and metering across homes, commercial buildings and industrial sheds.

Before you decide
The questions everybody asks
What will it cost me?
That depends on the size of the system, and the size depends on your monthly units and your usable roof area. We will not quote a figure before seeing the roof, because a number given over the phone is a guess. Send us your last electricity bill and book a free survey, and you will get a written quote with the government subsidy shown as a separate line.
How much subsidy will I actually get?
Under PM Surya Ghar the Government of India pays ₹30,000 per kW for the first 2 kW and ₹18,000 for the third kW, capped at ₹78,000 for anything 3 kW and above. It applies to residential consumers. We explain the whole thing on our subsidy page, and we handle the application for you.
How big a system do I need?
As a guide, the national portal suggests 1–2 kW for a home using up to 150 units a month, 2–3 kW for 150–300 units, and above 3 kW beyond that. Your roof area and shadow decide whether that will physically fit, which is what the survey is for.
What happens to the electricity I do not use?
With a net meter, surplus generation is exported to the grid and set against what you draw at night. The net meter is part of the job — we handle the DISCOM application and the inspection.
Does it work in the monsoon?
Generation drops on heavy overcast days, which is exactly why systems are sized against your annual consumption and why net metering matters — your surplus in the clear months offsets the dull ones.
How long does installation take?
The physical installation on a typical home is a few days once the material is on site. The longer part is the DISCOM approval and net meter, which runs on their timeline, not ours. We will tell you honestly where things stand at each stage.
Do you maintain it afterwards?
Yes. Panel cleaning, inverter checks and fault attendance, by the same team that installed it. We are in Nandanvan, so a service call is a drive across town.
Do you work outside Nagpur?
Yes, across Nagpur and the wider Vidarbha region. Tell us where the site is and we will confirm when we book the survey.
The PM Surya Ghar subsidy closes on 31 March 2027.
Up to ₹78,000 back on a residential rooftop system, paid by the Government of India. We handle the application, the inspection and the net meter. Book a free survey and we will tell you exactly what your roof qualifies for.
